If I ruled the world…

If I ruled the world, I would keep the world peace. I would want every country to live in peace, no war. I would want commodities from all over the world to buy and sell. So people would not to go abroad to buy things what is from other countries, people can buy these things in themselves’ countries. I would gather the world power to destroy terrorist organizations. I would like to let people to live in peace; they would not worry about the risk of being attacked. I would reduce the gap between the rich and the poor. No matter what the gap between the rich people and the poor people, or the gap between the developed countries and the developing countries would be reduced. I think education is very important. I would let every child in the world can study in the school. Especially in poor areas or countries, it is necessary to appoint some good teachers to teach children who have no money to study. Children have knowledge can let the world better and science more developed. I would improve the world environment. I would let every country attach importance to the environment.

Sightseeing in Leicester

Haymarket Memorial Clock Tower
The Haymarket Memorial Clock Tower is a major sign in Leicester City Centre. It is in the middle of the city centre. It was constructed in 1868. It is in order to commemorate four people: Simon de Montfort, William Wyggeston, Thoms White and Gabriel Newton. There are four statues at each corner. Every weekend, some people act in front of the Clock Tower.

New Walk
New Walk is about 1100 metres. It is known as Queen’s Walk. It is from city centre to university. The road is made of cobblestons. Many different kinds of trees and flowers on the both sides of the road. If you walk on this road in spring, all the flowers are bloom. You can see many beautiful flowers around you. When you walk on this road in autumn, all the fallen leaves are on the road. Everything is golden, you can feel relax.

Castle Gardens
Castle Gardens are situated in the west of city centre. It is beside the Grand Union Canal. Castle Gardens include Castle Hall, John of Gaunts Cellar, and The Church of St Mary de Castro. The building was originally the Great Hall of Leicester Castle, which was erected in the 11th or 12th century. Some people said: "this is the one of the finest Norman Halls in England...” The timber roof is possibly 14th century. The Professor Horn said it was the earliest residential timber roof of Europe.

The day after tomorrow is one of my favourite films. I saw this film with my parents in the cinema five years ago. I think it is a very good film.
The day after tomorrow is directed by Roland Emmerich. Dennis QuaidJake, Gyllenhaal, Emmy Rossum starred this film. It is a disaster film. This film is said that Sam whose father is an environmentalist travelled to New York City for an academic competition. Because of the greenhouse effect, many counties have been unimaginable a natural phenomenon such as Hail, tornadoes and sea level rise. The rapid rise in sea water quickly flooded the New York City. Sam and his friend had to stay in the New York Public Library. It is colder and colder outside. Eiffel Tower, and the Statue of Liberty became into the icicle. They had to burn the books to keep warm. At that time, Sam’s father and his colleagues are going to New York City to look for them. On the way that looking for Sam, one of the colleagues in order to save others at the expense of its own. At last, they rescue Sam and his friends. And the weather became better than before, the sun came out again. There were many people survived in this disaster. It has a happy ending.
After I saw this film, I think protecting the environment is very important. It is more important than economic development. We can’t as the Vice President of the film, only focus on the economic development. The better environment is, the better economy is. If we only focus on the economy, then the cost of rapid economic development will be this film that emerged. Although the movie will not happen to us, but we should think about our generations.
This film has many thrills, the special effects are superb. When you see this film, you will feel that you are as a character in the film. The photography of the film is very good. In the film, we saw the tornado and frozen as same as the truth. And the story is very good, too. I think it is terrific.
The revenue of this film is $542,771,772; it is a very large number. So many people like to see this film, I think you will like it, too.

BIRMINGHAM

This Saturday, I went Birmingham with my friends.
At 9 o’clock, we got on the train to Birmingham New Street. After about one hour, we arrived at Birmingham. Firstly, we went to a big store. But I didn’t buy anything. Then we went to Chinatown to eat hotpot. In the afternoon, I bought a watch.
I felt very happy at Saturday, but the only bad thing is that it was rainy.

GOSSIP GIRL

I see American television series such as Prison Break, Sexy and the city, Supernatural and some other series. Now I would like to recommend a TV series, Gossip girl.
Gossip Girl is inspired by the popular novel series of the same name. The story happens New York City’s Upper East Side where lives a lot of the rich. The drama occurred in speaking of the students which in an aristocratic school and family matters. The drama includes sex, drugs, jealousy, and other teenage issues. Now it has two seasons. I think you will like it.

名探偵 コナン

I like to see cartoons. My parents think that cartoons are just for children. But I think a good cartoon is for everyone.
Detective Conan is one of my favorite cartoons. It is written by Gosho Aoyama who is Japanese. It has been written since 1994. Now the cartoon is 14 years’ old. Detective Conan is said that when a young detective called Jimmy Kudo was investigating a secret criminal organization, he was knocked out and given drug to kill him. But luckily, he just became young because the drug had some problems. And then he would like to find out that the organization and to destroy it. While he was finding out that organization, he was helping a stupid detective to solve the different kinds of cases.
Now Detective Conan has 12 movies and 515 episodes. I think it is a big number. And it is really good to see.

Now if you are interested in cartoons, you can see Hayao Miyazaki’s films. They are very good,too.

FILM

I like to watch films. I watch all kinds of films, such as disaster film, sci-fi film, horror films and animations. I like to watch films because movie is short, unlike
TV series, they are too long. A good can affect all audiences’ the mood. With the film’s plot development, audience will have different emotions. The music in the film is also very important. Like Titanic, the song My Heart Will Go On is very good.

A BAD OR A GOOD NEIGHT

Yesterday was He Shang’s birthday. We had dinner with some friends. After that, we sang karaoke together. When we went back, it’s very cold outside. But we didn’t feel bad because we were very happy. We went back to the hall by taxi. When I was in my room and wanted to have a shower, suddenly I heard the fire alarm. I took my keys to go outside quickly. I thought it was colder than before. Then I saw a boy who only wore the underwear. There was some water on his hair and body. He was likely to have a shower when fire alarm rang. After about 10 minutes, the administrator finally came. We were able to enter our rooms.

DAN

Dan is a teacher who teach me general English. He is about 190cm. He has a short blond hair. He said he is over 30 years old, but he looks much younger!
He is a very kind teacher. I think he is one of my best teacher that I ever met. He has a blog called Dan’s blog. You can find many useful ways to learn English. He is a very humorous man. His class is very interesting. I feel very happy to meet him. I bought an Oxford English dictionary last week. I learn at least 5 words every day. I think my vocabulary will be better in the future.

DIFFERENCES

I have arrived in Leicester for 3 weeks. I find there are many differences between my hometown and Leicester.
Firstly,the weather. My hometown is much hotter than Leicester in summer. The highest temperature in my hometown is 42 centigrade. But in Licester,the highest temperature is about 30 centigrade.
Secondly,the working time. In China,many shops open from 8am to 10pm. Especially in the weekend or holiday,the shops open for a longer time. But in Leicester, shops only open for 8 hours.
The last thing is food. I think Chinese food is more delicious than British food. Chinese food has more kinds of food than the UK.
I like China. I like the UK,too.

A TERRIBLE HOLIDAY

lWhen I was 8 years old, my parents took me to Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan Province. Jiuzhaigou is a very beautiful place. It has a lot of green trees and colourful flowers. And birds were singing in the trees. I think the most intereting thing is the lake which has many differint colours. I had never saw this kind of lake before.
The next day, we climbed the montain near Jiuzhaigou. When we got the top of montain, it was snowing. It was my first time to see snow. It snowed heavily, everywhere was white. We took many photos. When we want to go back to the hotel, the road was frozen beacause of the low tempretura. We had to stay in the car for a whole cold night, because there was no hotel on the montain!
It was a very terrible holiday!

MY WEEKEND

I went to London for a shopping trip this weekend.
Last Saturday morning, I got to London. First, I went to Chinatown to eat noodles for lunch. Then, I bought a camera, an ipod, a flight ticket and some other things. After that, I ate Chinese food. I stayed in a hotel called Promise Inn. I watched TV and listened to music in the hotel. On Sunday morning, I got up at 11 am. Then I went to SELFRIDGES to buy a wallet and a scarf. I met two new friends. Then I took undergroud to rail station. I came back to Leicester at 5 pm.
I think this was a nice weekend.

My friends and family

In Leicester, I meet many new friends such Cindy,Jennifer, Allison,Sam,Bill,Jay. Thay are from China. I also meet some friends who come from the UK.Saray is one of them. She is very friendly.She can help me to improve my English.
There are three people in my family. My father has a round face and big eyes. He is a little fat but handsome. My mother has short black hair.she is not very tall but beautiful. I love them very much.

My Day

I always get up at 8 o'clock. the I often have a shower. After that, I usually have breakfast at a quarter to nine. Sometimes I drink a cup of coffee for breakfast. Next, I often go to school by bus. I always have classes from 11am to 5pm. After classes, I occasionally bo to supermarket to buy food and juice. Then I go back to my hall. I often have dinner at half past six. Next,I search the Internet. I seldom play computer games. At last,I have a shower and then go to bed at half past 11.
